Day By Day Itinerary
Day 1: USA / Beijing
Fly to Beijing, the capital of China.
Day 2: Beijing / Kunming
Arrive in Beijing, transfer to the flight to Kunming. Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.

Day 3: Kunming
Visit the Dragon Gate and Western Hills, which is a range of four mountains whose silhouette is said to resemble “Sleeping Beauty”. Then visit Grand View Park, which was complet- ed in 1690 during the Qing Dynasty. It lives up to its name by providing visitors with grand views of Dian Lake. Enjoy a Minority Singing & Dancing Show after dinner.

Day 4: Kunming / Jiuxiang/Stone Forest
Visit Jiuxiang, take a boat trip into the beautiful caves. Then go to Stone Forest, which is one of China's most remarkable natural phenomena. Towering peaks of bizarre shaped limestone, some are as high as a 6 story building, cover an area of over 200 acres. A 1.2 mile long path winds through the deepest portion of the forest where one can see pavilions, caves and ponds each with its legend.

Day 5: Kunming / Dali
Visit the 400 year old Golden Palace, home of the Taoist. It is the largest copper made temple of China. Then drive to Dali (4 hours), which was the Capital of ancient Nanzhao and Dali Kingdoms.

Day 6: Dali
Take a two hour cruise on scenic Erhai Lake to enjoy its alpine setting. Dali is the home of Bai minority. Visit Jin Suo Isle, which is a Bai minority fishing village and colorful market. Continue on to visit the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, 9th century examples of the architec- tural art and culture of the Bai ethnic group.

Day 7: Dali / Lijiang
Drive to Lijiang (3 hours), Take a walking tour of the ancient Dayan Town, a UNESCO world heritage site, where the houses are wood-and- earth structures with tiled roofs and flower-filled courtyards. Naxi ethnic minorities have a long history in Lijiang. Visit the renowned Black Dragon Pool with its Moon Embracing Pavilion, Five Phoenix Pavilio & Dongba Cultural Village.

Day 8: Lijiang
Take a cable car up to Jade Dragon Snow Mt. Visit the Mu Family Mansion, followed with Baisha village, to see its Ming and Qing dynasty frescos.

Day 9: Lijijang / Shangri-la
Drive to Shangri-la, which is called the "Eden in dream". It first appeared in British novelist James Hilton's ‘Lost Horizon’ in 1939. Along the ancient Tea & Horse trade track, it is a beautiful 100 mile drive via Tiger Leaping Gorge, the No. Gorge of Yangtze River. Visit Napa Lake upon arrival, followed with a Tibetan Village and Family visit.

Day 10: Shangri-la
Visit Songzanlin Monastery, which was first constructed in Qing Dynasty. It embodies the essence of the Tibetan Buddhist culture. It’s archi- tecture exemplifies the features of the Tibetan style. Then Visit Bitahai Lake, which is famous for its lim- pid water and beautiful sceneries.

Visit The Botanic Garden of Tropi- cal Plants. The garden contains 3,000 different types of plants. Then visit Olive Plain, which has dense forest of betel palms, coconut palms, oil palms and banana trees. Within the forest, you can glimpse bamboo houses on stilts and typical Buddhist pagodas. Enjoy the minority singing and dancing performance.

Day 11: Xishangbanna/Kunming
Visit the hometown of Puer tea, Mt. Jinuo.Then visit "The Kingdom of Eleph-ants"- Wild Elephants Valley. 300 elephants are living in the dense forest. Then fly to Kunming.
